General Hospital’s Charles Mesure Hints at Brennan’s Romantic Future, Talks Chemistry with Carly and Anna
General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Charles Mesure is clearly having the time of his life playing Jack Brennan, the charming yet devious troublemaker with tons of ulterior motives. You never really know what’s going on in Brennan’s head – and that’s part of why he’s so interesting to watch!
Of course, Mesure also has plenty of talent and chemistry with his co-stars.
Many of us can agree that Mesure has been a great addition to the cast, but he wasn’t always meant to be a long-term character.
However, TPTB saw the magic happening and decided Brennan should stick around – even if he’s been forced to have most of his scenes at Pentonville lately.
In an interview with SOD, Charles Mesure opened up about his soap role and offered some new hints.
Since fans have seen the chemistry between Brennan and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) as well as Brennan and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), Mesure addressed the sparks.
If given the chance to further develop relationships with Carly and Anna, Mesure suggested he’d be all for it – mostly because it’d mean getting to work with two of his favorite costars more often!
“As an actor, I hope I get to work with Laura and Finola for a long time…I have no idea what the writers have in mind, but as an actor, I love spending time with Laura and Finola, absolutely,” Mesure said.
Chemistry often leads to romantic shifts between characters, so maybe there’s a soapy world where Brennan’s romantic future with Carly or Anna is possible.
It’ll be interesting to see how things play out, but Mesure admitted his character might be someone who’s best used sparingly.
“Like, Jack Brennan could be a bit like the shark in Jaws,” Mesure said. “The less the shark is around, the more interesting the shark is!”
Although Charles Mesure acknowledged that Brennan might fit into that category, it’s safe to say many GH fans would like to see more of him!
