In the Quartermaine kitchen, Sasha makes Violet a snack. She makes ants on a stick, which is just raisins on celery. Violet asks if her mom taught her how to make these. Sasha says her grandma did, as she lived with her and didn’t have a mom growing up. Violet notes she doesn’t have a grandma or a grandpa and wonders why everyone has to leave, including her dad. Sasha guesses this is a confusing, scary, and lonely time for her. Violet knows she shouldn’t be lonely with such a full house, but she can’t wait to see her dad again. She says she’s been keeping track of what she wants to tell him in her diary.
Sasha says she loved writing in her diary when she was young and asks if it helps her. Violet says sometimes, but sometimes it makes her sad. Sasha assures her she can talk to anyone here at any time, as they all care about her. Violet knows that makes her lucky. Violet thanks Sasha for the snack. Sasha suggests Violet help her out in the kitchen sometimes. Violet gushes, “Like your apprentice?” Sasha says yes, and she’ll teach her how to make some more snacks and they can write them down in a little recipe book. Violet says she’ll be like her cool grandma, but Sasha likes the idea of her cool aunt better.

She asks when he was transferred out, the warden insists there has never been a prison here by those names. Anna has a log of all her visits with him here, as well as his transfer to General Hospital.

At the Metro Court, Carly orders her bellhops to put Cates’ luggage out on the curb if he’s not here to collect it from the lobby within the hour.
Diane meets with Sonny in the lobby with bad news. Ava has gotten court-ordered visitation, and he can’t stop it. She insists they have to take the high road as Ava is ready and willing to play the victim. Sonny knows that, as she’s playing the damsel in distress for John Cates.
In Ava’s room, Cates tells her that he has a witness who will testify against Sonny, and right now, he’s sending him far away from Port Charles. Ava doesn’t know how that helps them. He believes this witness will break to stay in town and agree to testify, but even if they go, it will cause Sonny to crack and show the courts how unfit he is. Ava likes the sound of that and can’t thank him enough for his help. He says she’s welcome, and she never imagined things could go from their first meeting at the warehouse to this. She recalls him barging in there, barking orders, and giving her the third degree. He laughs about how she stonewalled him like a pro. They lean in for another kiss.
Ava thinks this calls for a real cocktail. She offers him a martini, but he’s a scotch guy. She has only vodka. He notes he’s got a bottle in his room. He kisses her again and leaves to get it. Ava can’t believe she’s kissing an FBI agent and notes, “At least you keep things interesting.”
Cates goes to his room but finds his keycard isn’t working. He then heads down to the lobby.

Joss and Gio arrive in the lobby, and Joss wants to check in with her mom. Gio spots Sonny across the way, but Joss says he’s with his lawyer, so he probably shouldn’t say hello right now.
Meanwhile, Diane tells Sonny she doesn’t like this, as an FBI agent on Ava’s side is bad for them. She says this could tip the scale in Ava’s favor. Sonny then spots Cates walk into the lobby.
Joss checks in with her mom, and she sees something is bothering her. Carly explains she got bad news and will talk about it later. Joss wants to speak now. Carly tells her that Jason is being forced to leave again, and there is nothing she can do.
Cates goes to the desk to see about getting a new card. Carly intervenes and says he’s no longer a guest in this hotel, and his luggage is waiting for him over there. She motions to it. She says, “Take it and get the hell out.” Cates doesn’t understand, as he thought they were friends. She tells him they aren’t, and actually, she hates him. Cates suggests she call her buddy Jason, as he’ll tell her to accommodate him. Carly gloats that as of this moment, he has no leverage over Jason. Carly yells, “You think you can charge me with RICO violations, prove I’m a big bad mob boss? Well, come and get me!”
Joss, Diane and Sonny all watch the confrontation as Cates looks like a deer caught in the headlights. Cates tells Carly she doesn’t want to do this. Carly screams that she is no monster, that she has nothing to do with the mob, and that she can prove that in court. Diane warns Sonny that it is looking worse for them all by the second. Cates tells Carly to stand down, but she calls him a vindictive bastard with an axe to grind. Cates places Carly under arrest, and she puts her hands out and waits to be cuffed.
Diane and Joss intervene. Diane asks what is happening, and Cates says the FBI has evidence that Carly is running a criminal organization. Carly tells Joss to stop Jason from leaving, and that he’s at the bus station. Joss and Gio take off.
As Diane argues with Cates, Anna shows up and tells Sonny that she assumes Carly turned herself in. Sonny thinks Anna is working with Cates to take him down and using Carly to get to him. She insists that’s not the case, and she disapproves of this arrest.
Anna storms over and tells Cates he has no real evidence against Carly, and he knows Carly isn’t a mobster. Diane says these charges won’t stick, and Cates yells, “You want to bet!” As he drags Carly out, John and Sonny stare each other down for a second.

Danny hopes he’s not mad. Jason isn’t, but he still can’t tell him where he’s going. Danny asks how long he’ll be gone. Jason admits he can’t say, and wishes he could tell him. He doesn’t want him involved in this part of his life, and he’s still in trouble due to some choices he made long ago, way before Danny was born. Danny asks if he regrets them. Jason says yes and no, but he mostly regrets they’ve taken him away from his son. He wishes he could stay and be the father he deserves, but he can’t, and that’s on him. Jason hates this, but at least they get to say goodbye this time, and he’ll know he’s out there. Jason says this isn’t his choice, so Danny asks whose it is. Jason can’t tell him that. Danny vents he wants someone to be mad at. Jason doesn’t want him to be angry, he wants him to be a kid. Jason says he’ll miss him more than he knows.
Jason relays that his bike keys are in his apartment, so keep it tuned up and clean for him. Jason suggests that maybe soon his mom will let him take it out for a ride with her. Danny wants to wait for him to get back to go riding. The bus for Alexandria is called and departs in five minutes. Danny hugs his dad, and Jason tells him again that he’s really proud of him. Danny knows they will see each other again and makes his dad say it.

In court, TJ checks in with Molly. She asks if they have plans today, and he says no, but he needs to talk to her. He says Kristina and Alison had an interview with Perez Hilton this morning. She asks what Kristina did. He hands her his phone and tells her to see for herself. After she watches it, TJ asks if he’s overreacting about this. Molly says she can’t believe this, and that Kristina never mentioned she’s acting as a surrogate and said the baby is part of their lives they want to keep private. TJ says, “So I’m not crazy, Kristina claimed their child as hers on live television.”
Molly agrees. Kristina never said this baby wasn’t hers, and now it’s out there in public. She can’t believe this is happening and never believed her sister would do this. TJ says this isn’t her fault, it’s Kristina’s. Molly cries, “She wants their baby to be hers, and now, thanks to this interview, the whole world thinks it is.” Molly rants about how her sister is always out for attention, and if she’s not joining a cult, then she’s having a baby. Molly says Kristina has gone too far this time. Molly fumes that the only way to handle this is through the law.

In the PCPD integration room, Sonny tells Carly that there is no way in hell Cates is sending the mother of his little girl to prison. Michael reaches out to someone for help. Jason asks Diane if they can undercut Carly’s case.
