Will’s return to The Bold and the Beautiful — and, of course, to parents Bill and Katie — has been a long time coming. Last seen four years ago in 2020 when he was played by Finnegan George, Will’s been MIA for some time as his parents have flirted with each other and
Now he’s coming back with a new face, played by Crew Morrow, who yes, is the son of The Young and the Restless’ longtime Nick, Joshua Morrow. And with 19-year-old Crew taking over, expect Will to be dealing with a bit more grown up story.
The young actor spoke with TV Insider to tease the bumps ahead for Will’s homecoming — especially when it comes to Bill. Not that we can blame the teenager for, as Morrow put it to TV Insider, loving mom Katie, “I think a little bit more than his father. There’s been some history with Will and Bill.” And from the very first episode tomorrow, August 1, we’ll see his “coming home is a little bit rocky.”
Honestly, that’s not really a surprise. Bill and his sons have always had a tendency to butt heads. Poor Wyatt’s pretty much just disappeared from his dad’s life. Liam has been off… actually, where has Liam been? (While we figure out that answer, we have a few ideas of where he can go!)
And now there’s Luna, who’s been getting all of Bill’s attention and we’re pretty certain they aren’t even remotely related. So we could see Will having a bit of a chip on his shoulder when it comes to his dad.
Morrow explained this more grown up Will as being “prideful, and he deeply loves his family.” Well, we can see where he gets both of those traits, right Bill?
Working with Don Diamont and Heather Tom, though, has “been anything and everything I could ask for.” Of course, they’re familiar faces, with both having worked with dad Joshua Morrow on Young & Restless as Brad and Victoria before jumping over to join Bold & Beautiful.
We’ll have to wait and see just how rocky things get, but we’ve got a feeling Will will have a thing or two to say about his new “sister,” and Bill’s absolute fawning over her. And while we were at one time thinking his homecoming could be just the ticket to get Bill and Katie back together, we’re suddenly wondering he might be happier with them apart so that he can spend time with his mom without any drama from dad.
