The Young and the Restless Monday, July 8 Update: Nick & Phyllis’ Late Night – Victor Warns Claire About Kyle
Monday, July 8 Update: Nick & Phyllis’ Late Night – Victor Warns Claire About Kyle
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, July 8, reveals that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will have a video chat with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) before Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) show up at her door.
Christine and Danny will be in Paris for one of Danny’s concerts, but they’ll make time to catch up with Traci and meet Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) while they’re in town.
After Alan and Traci agree to attend Danny’s show later, they’ll share another kiss in private.
After Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) pushes Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) to back off Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and let her deal with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), that’ll prove to be quite a challenge for Phyllis.
Since Phyllis won’t want to call it a night yet, she’ll convince Nick to ditch the coffeehouse and have a drink with her at the GCAC.
Phyllis will order up fries as well and will grow curious after Nick mentions his recent walk down memory lane with Sharon Newman (Sharon Case).
Nick will explain that they took the total honesty approach when they gave Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) updates.
After Phyllis quizzes Nick about his romantic future, he’ll act like he’s done with the whole dating thing.
Phyllis won’t see herself dating again either after her latest Danny debacle.
Once it’s time to go home, Nick will share a sweet moment with Phyllis, so their gaze will linger on each other and make it seem like they still feel a connection.
At Society, Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will join Kyle at the bar, so the conversation will eventually shift to Summer.
Kyle will get riled up and suggest Daniel should convince Summer to back off the vengeful custody drama.
If Summer doesn’t, then Kyle will hint about making her regret it with some consequences she didn’t anticipate.
After Kyle leaves, Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will offer more life advice to Daniel, so he’ll be grateful for “Tessa’s tips” and will joke around with her as they become better friends.
Back at Crimson Lights, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will run into Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) again, so he’ll sit down at a table with her as they enjoy some baked goods.
Victor will admit to spotting Claire looking chummy with Kyle from the window earlier and will wonder if they went on a date.
Claire will assure Victor that she wouldn’t go down that road with her boss, so he’ll be happy about that.
Even so, Victor will allude to Kyle maybe having some things in his past that he doesn’t want Claire to know about.
Claire won’t get why Victor seems so concerned about her friendship with Kyle, but he’ll just want her to be cautious.
Since Kyle is Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) son, that’ll give Victor more than enough reason to worry.
Victor will explain how he always wants to look out for his family, so Claire will understand that part.
Although Claire won’t think Kyle would do anything to hurt her, Victor will feel like people can spin out and cause harm without meaning to.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle will have another fierce faceoff with Jack, so he’ll blurt out that he’s taking over Glissade and that they’ll have unlimited funding to put Jabot out of business.
Since Jack didn’t give Kyle the job he wanted, he’ll be fully prepared to embrace his new position in enemy territory.
Based on our Y&R predictions, Kyle could be headed for more trouble than he bargained for, so he’ll inevitably face some shocking news along the way.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will remain a pawn in Victor’s game, so don’t miss how that’ll affect the latter’s feud with Jack.
