Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) was a psychological thorn in Sharon’s mind for years. Eventually, a thrilling storyline produced what appeared to be the end for that character as Sharon killed him with the knife Nick provided.

However, because this is daytime, Cameron has risen from the grave to live again. His macabre presence, including the notable bloodstain where Sharon stabbed Cameron to death, is chilling. But what remnant thoughts of him might compel her to do is all the more frightening.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – What Are The Soapy Implications?

Let’s follow this through to a gruesome endpoint. Sharon kills Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) in retaliation for the accidental death of her daughter, Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes).

That outcome eliminates Graziadei from the cast and puts Sharon in jail. In the daytime world, she could receive a sentence that places her in a mental hospital, with a potential rehabilitation release a year or so in the future.

The above is plausible but does not feel likely. Reaching that end would further darken Cassie’s tragic finale. That storyline, as much as any in this soap opera’s iconic history, created an intense response that has never truly abated among loyal fans.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Who Will Defend Daniel Romalotti?

Various candidates could potentially save Daniel, assuming he needs saving and then is. Nick, Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), or Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) are good choices.

But Mariah Copeland (Grimes’ second Y&R role) might check all the boxes. Why not have Cassie’s originally unknown twin intervene ahead of time or step between Sharon and Daniel at the moment of truth?

Sharon has been chased through her nightmares by the unsettled memories involving Cassie’s death. Having her twin sister, Mariah, prevent a second needless tragedy would be fitting.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sharon Newman Saves Herself?

Sharon appeared to be on solid ground. She became a licensed therapist, demonstrating a firm grasp of her past and an ability to translate healing tools to her patients.

But she mentioned never having rightly grieved Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death. That comment soon dovetailed with the reemergence of her bipolar disorder, sparked by voluntarily going off her medication.

The realization of self-control, especially in this particular momentum scenario, would create a powerful climax. Plenty of plot is left to play out, with the crescendo accompaniment faintly being heard.

The person who prevents Sharon from committing a revenge crime against Daniel may be Sharon herself.
