Tom Starr (Clint Howard) and Paul “Hollis” Hollister’s (Hollis W. Chambers) were killed at Il Giardino and this can’t be good for the pizza biz. Peppermint Poppy has a history of drugging people, including her own daughter Luna Nozawa (Lisa Yamada).
Now those same illicit mints are making Poppy look guilty after they were found in Tom’s backpack along with a few dozen letters of his claiming to be Luna’s dad.
Let’s assume that someone is setting up the free-spirited craft fair devotee. Who would do this and what is their motive?
It could be the person who is actually Luna’s bio dad, and this includes Jack Finnegan (Ted King). Or, it could be his ex-wife, Poppy’s sister, Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda).
B&B spoilers – Is Poppy Nowaza Guilty?
We don’t think that Li is the killer because she has defended Poppy, which is very unlike her. Sure, she still thinks her sis is a wanton gold digger—but a murderer? Nah.
Li has accused Sheila Sharpe (Kimberlin Brown) of being the killer, but the police have already questioned her and let her go.
This leaves a very suspicious acting Justin Barber (Aaron D. Spears) who was at the outdoor bistro the night Tom was killed.

Justin is not a Boy Scout, and he is perfectly capable of a set-up and blackmail. But why would he do this to Poppy?
Maybe because he thinks that he’s helping Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). Old habits die hard and Justin has done a lot of dicey things for Bill in the past.
He may not trust Poppy and thinks that getting her out of the way would help Dollar Bill. Then again, Bill and Justin were recently on the outs. Is Justin actually targeting Bill through Poppy? This is the man who kept Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) in a cage after all.
