Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – AnnaLynne McCord Compares Her Past Experiences To Working On DOOL
“I first stepped into the realm of television with Nip/Tuck, where I played Eden Lord, followed by my role as Naomi Clark in 90210, which offered a completely different experience”, she shares.
I had no idea that the kind of family atmosphere we have at Days of Our Lives was even possible. I refer to it as ‘we’ now because I’ve transitioned from being an outsider to a true member of the team.
It reminds me of my days in theater, with everyone bustling around—whether in dressing rooms or hallways—searching for our co-stars and rehearsing lines.
There’s a certain old Hollywood charm to it all-it’s been an absolute blast, fulfilling the dreams of my nine-year-old self who always wanted to be part of something like this.
DOOL Spoilers – She Didn’t Know At First If She Would Be The Real Abigail Or Not
Since her debut in June, McCord has taken on the role of a woman masquerading as the presumed deceased Abigail Deveraux DiMera, a task that has come with its own unique challenges.
“At first, it was quite confusing, but I was fortunate to have Billy [Flynn, Chad DiMera] guiding the dynamic,” she reflects. “There was a discussion about whether I would truly be Abigail Deveraux; I had to maintain a neutral energy at the start because we were uncertain.
Eventually, it became evident that I wouldn’t be staying as Abigail, and that’s when I allowed my character to naturally interact with Billy’s energy. He has been instrumental in helping me grasp the complexities of not only the history between him and Abigail but also the exciting possibilities for future storylines.”
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – The Truth Will Be Revealed In Monday, October 21’s Episode
Speaking of Billy Flynn, she says he’s Mr. Sleuth, always piecing together his little Sherlock Holmes theories about what might happen next. He accurately pinpointed several aspects of my character that ended up being quite beneficial for my work.
Meanwhile, the connection between Abigail and Clyde Weston (James Read) has been uncovered, and Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) have realized she’s not who she claims to be.
Now, she’s on the verge of being exposed, and on Monday, October 21, her real identity comes to light. She is Cat Green, the daughter of Catherina (who wasn’t killed by John Black, played by the late Drake Hogestyn) and the granddaughter of the late Konstantin Meleounis (John Kapelos).
DOOL Spoilers – The Scenes Between Chad DiMera And Kat Will Be Heartbreaking
The interactions between Chad and Cat, as previewed by McCord, are truly poignant-she shares, “There’s something extraordinary about collaborating with actors who fully commit, like Billy does. His performance is infused with such raw emotion; it comes from instinct rather than a scripted approach-
I found myself genuinely crying, just as fake Abby/Kat was. It was overwhelming, and the intensity was palpable; looking into his eyes, I could see the pain of losing the love of his life all over again. Initially, he wasn’t angry—he was simply heartbroken; when were done, I suggested we hug it out, as if the weight of the moment had seeped into our real lives. He reminded me, ‘It’s not real; we’re acting’ yet, the emotions were authentic, and even the crew joined in with applause, moved by the experience.”
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – AnnaLynne Is Excited About The Upcoming Storyline
McCord is thrilled to introduce the audience to Cat; “I had the opportunity to shape Cat based on my own emotions and the journey of discovering [her identity],” she shares. “This gave me a lot of creative freedom once we defined who she was and the direction of the storyline.
When that significant reveal occurs and the narrative unfolds, you truly get to see Cat and her relationships with her family, especially the importance of her siblings in her life.
There’s a depth to everything, and I believe this character can bring some lightness and joy. Both she and her mother have faced many challenges, so Cat uses humor as a way to cope, and it’s been a joy to weave that into the story.”
