At the Metro Court, Nina is on the phone when Willow arrives to meet her. Willow thanks Nina for meeting today, and Nina explains her office is being set up for a photo shoot, which is why they are in the lobby. Willow has a PSA coming up and needs help with her speech. She hopes Nina will look it over and tell her what she thinks. Nina looks it over, likes the changes she’s already made, and makes a few more suggestions.
Meanwhile, Natalia walks in, spots Ava by the elevators, and they exchange looks before Natalia shoots a dismissive glace and gets in the elevator.
Ava approaches Nina and Willow and comments on how good it is to see them together and asks if there is room for one more. Nina says they are in the middle of something, so excuse them, please. Ava says she’s inspired that they’ve been able to put their differences aside. Nina asks Ava what part of they are in the middle of something she does not understand. Ava knows how important the mother-daughter bond is, and now she is more aware of that with Sonny trying to take Avery from her
Nina asks if there is a question here? Ava was hoping they would talk to Scott about Sonny’s erratic behavior. Nina says, “Call it what it is, you want us to testify against Sonny.” Ava admits she dies, and Nina calls her insane. Willow notes Michael likely won’t want to get involved, and she needs to respect Michael’s wishes and stay out of this too.
Willow leaves to tape her PSA, and Ava accuses Nina of overreacting to their one little argument. Nina scoffs at Ava, pretending to be her friend while cozying up to her husband. Ava claims she would never have pursued him intentionally. She swears she fell victim to Sonny’s charms, then his ever-changing moods, and like her, has been cast out. She may lose her only child and thought they’d find common ground on that. She reminds Nina they used to be close. Nina says Ava ruined that, and Ava takes ownership of her part and mistakes. Ava asks if there is no room for compassion and maybe forgiveness one day. Nina tells her no way. Nina explains Ava hurt Sonny’s beloved Kristina, so be thankful the worst he does is take sole custody of Avery.
Ava says her part in this scandal has been blown out of proportion, but Ava says Adrian already called her out as his source. Ava talks about how awful Natalia is and how she and Sonny spend much time together. Nina doesn’t care who Sonny spends time with, she’s not jealous, and she’s not joining Ava’s unholy alliance. Ava asks, despite their differences, if she really doubts her devotion to Avery. Nina admits that her love for her daughter is her one redeeming quality, but she conflates Avery’s well-being with her own. She already told Sonny she wants no part of this suit, but she is rooting for Sonny. Ava can’t believe how things have changed for them. Nina says her life is better now, maybe not so much for Ava.
Natalia goes up to her room, makes herself a drink and puts on the TV. Suddenly she sees her daughter and Kristina on the Perez show.
On the show, Perez thanks Blaze and Kristina for sitting down with him. He knows Blaze is a busy woman, and is used to be written about in the headlines, but it is not like the most recent story. Blaze speaks about the recording that went viral of her mother discussing her being gay and involved with Kristina. Perez knows Kristina has been out as gay for some time and out, and her center is trying to distance themselves from her. Kristina says this is true, and they argued she couldn’t be an advocate for LGBTQIA+ youth because she was in a closeted relationship. She believes they misjudged the situation and hopes they change their minds.
Blaze admits she was in a meeting with her mother at Deception when she heard the recording. Perez asks how she felt? Blaze admits she was furious at her choice of words and outing her. Perez asks Blaze if her mother’s feelings caught her by surprise. Blaze admits not really, and that she knew her mother’s feelings about her being gay, and that she was raised in a less tolerant society. However, she also found out her mother’s privacy was violated by the leaked recording. Perez asks about her relationship with her mom over the years. Blaze admits it’s been steady, and she’s been an excellent business manager, but she’s still her mom and she hopes in time they can repair their relationship. Kristina says luckily, they have time in spades.

Perez knows they’ve both been canceled in different ways and asks them if they feel like they can’t win. Kristina believes they aren’t the real victims here, and they are out in their lives with their family and friends. It was only a matter of time before Blaze would have come out to her fans, and they were waiting for their relationship to be more palatable for Natalia before doing so.
Natalia continues to watch from her room, and knows she has what is coming to her. She tells herself it’s time to be a big girl.
Kristina continues to say Natalia has always treated her with decency and respect. She has told Natalia that her views are hurtful, but they are her views, and she’s entitled to them. Perez asks about the real victim she mentioned. Kristina says Natalia is the real victim, and the person who made the recording should be the one who is canceled and shamed. Perez thinks she’s being very forgiving. Kristina says they’ve all made mistakes, including her, and they all have to learn from them and do better. Brook Lynn smiles from off-stage. Perez asks about any future plans they can share, and they say they are just dealing with any future bumps in the roads. Perez jokes, “Speaking of bumps…” Kristina explains that’s something they are keeping private.
The segment ends, and Perez thanks them. Brook Lynn tells Blaze and Kristina that they knocked it out of the park and should go celebrate with milkshakes at Bobbie’s.

In her office, Cates tells Anna that she is out of her league. Anna reminds him that he’s operating in her jurisdiction, and she tried working with him, but he has contempt for everything: herself, procedure, and ethical conduct. She tells him Jason has fulfilled his agreement, and he has the evidence to shut Pikeman down, so this ends now. Cates asks how she is so familiar with the evidence Morgan handed over. Anna says Jason is an honorable man, more honorable than him. Cates asks if she’s been working with Jason the whole time. She states she owes him nothing. He reminds her she was a double agent and a disgrace to their profession. She throws his actions in his face, such as keeping Jason away from his family and letting them think he is dead. Cates knows about her complicated history with Valentin and asks if she’s the reason he got away. Anna says he botched the arrest and is looking for excuses. Cates says she and her friend Jack Brennan are not above the law, and no matter how Cassadine escaped it will be Jason who pays for it.
She doesn’t know how he lives with himself. Anna yells that he wanted the head of Pikeman, and Jason gave that to him, so where is the justice? Cates says Jason should have been imprisoned years ago, and he gave him an out, and all he had to do was give information on Sonny. Anna calls him a bully and a coward, and this is all about his vendetta against Sonny. Anna asks how that makes him any better than Corinthos, bending the law for his gain. She wants to take down Sonny, but the right way, and she’ll do everything she can to stop Cates. She says every agent has cut corners, and she has the ability to find out every misstep he has taken over the years. She tells him what he’s doing is criminal and corrupt, and he’s trashing people’s lives in the name of his vendetta against Sonny. She says when she’s done with him, he’ll be the one in prison.
Cates thinks her threats are empty, that she’s confirmed everything he suspected about her. He argues that she could be the one going to prison. Cates leaves, and Ava makes a call and says she’ll be out of the station for the rest of the day to take care of things.
In Jason’s room above Bobbie’s, Carly rants that the only way to take away Cates’ power over him is for her to turn herself in. Jason says she will be sent to prison, and she shouldn’t have been in this position in the first place. Carly says she is a big girl, she went to that meeting, so she won’t let him take this assignment. She says Drew almost died in Pentonville, and she won’t let that happen to him.
Jason reminds her about Donna, who needs her. Jason argues his sons are almost adults, and they are used to life without him, so they can’t let Donna be handed over to Sonny. Carly knows if the roles were reversed, he wouldn’t stand by and watch this play out. He admits if he had a daughter that only had him to depend on, then yes, he’d have to. Carly cries she can’t keep being the weapon used against him.
Jason says since the day Michael was born, her family has been his family, so this decision has to keep Michael, Joss and Donna in mind. If one of them has to leave, it’s obvious who it should be. He says she’ll be fine without him. He doesn’t need to be here, but she does. She embraces him and cries on his shoulder, saying that she just got him back. Jason says he has to go, and she has to stay. He tells her that she can’t turn herself into Cates. She agrees she won’t. Carly cries that she can’t say goodbye to him again, so he tells her not to. He thanks her for not making this more difficult, and he insists he’ll be okay. Carly sobs, not knowing what she’ll do without him. He asks her to stay calm, think things through, and before doing something crazy…. Carly says, “Take a deep breath and count to ten.”
In her room at the Metro Court, Cates arrives to see Ava and apologizes for leaving earlier. He tells her he believes soon he’ll have everything he needs to bring Sonny to justice.

Jason arrives at the bus station with a bag and his ticket. He sits and waits and makes a call to Danny. Danny is hoping his dad is calling about their trip to the islands. Jason says they can’t go for a while. Danny asks what is going on. Jason explains he’s been given a new assignment out of town.
Danny asks if he works for that FBI guy now, and where he’s going. Jason can’t tell him, and all he can say is he’s a great son and he loves him so much. Danny thinks he’s talking like this is the last time they’ll see or speak to one another. Jason’s bus is called, and he says goodbye to Danny. Danny chucks his phone across the room.
Carly arrives in the hotel lobby, and speaks to the desk manager. She asks him to have two bellhops set to Cates’ suite as he is checking out and leaving immediately. Carly says, “This is what we call taking out the trash.”
On the next General Hospital: Anna speaks to the new Pentonville Warden and learns there is no prisoner there by those names. Violet cries to Sasha that everyone is leaving. Michael calls in a favor. Molly fumes to TJ that Kristina’s gone too far. Diane tells Sonny she wishes she had better news. Carly yells at Cates, “Here I am, come and get me!:
