Cates’ Career Is Down The Drain, The Ava Tea Spilled To His Boss?
General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam J. Harrington) career’s down the drain when the tea about his affair with Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) spilled to his boss! Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had a very specific reason to have Brick (Stephen A. Smith) send a spy to take photos of everything happening in Ava’s Metro Court suite!
General Hospital Spoilers – Trina Robinson Told Josslyn Jacks What She Couldn’t Unsee
Not only will the “spy with the eye” have proof of Ava and Jagger’s affair, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) what she couldn’t unsee.
Trina had been in Ava’s suite where they were having a business meeting before opening the art gallery, when Jagger strolled in clad in only a towel!
Trina told Joss the FBI agent was half naked when he came out of Ava’s room, obviously having spent the night, and she told her that as well.
So not only will there be photos which Sonny more likely intended to use to blackmail Jagger out of town on a rail, there’s Trina’s testimony. And one way or the other, the sordid intel will make it’s way to Jagger’s FBI boss and he won’t be able to explain his way out of it!
GH Spoilers – Jagger’s Already In Trouble With His Boss
After Trina left for the gallery by way of the Metro Court Pool to spill to Joss, he told Ava he couldn’t date her publicly, he was already in trouble with his boss!
News of a “friendship with benefits” with a member of the Jerome crime family, reformed or not, wouldn’t go well with the FBI.
Jagger has made way more enemies than he has friends in Port Charles, due to his arrogance and particularly his vendetta against Sonny. Josslyn told Trina upon hearing the tale Cates threw her mother in jail-so Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is sure to find out, and she’ll tell Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)!

By the time everything gets back to Jagger’s boss-which it will, and likely from several Port Charles sources including Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) his career will be down the drain!
At the very least he’ll be demoted, and at the worst, he could be fired-he let his power and authority go to his head and misused it.
Jason will be sure to tell his boss about his blackmail as will Anna and find out it was all a rogue move on Jagger’s part.
His boss did assign the Pikeman project, but the way he went about it was an abuse of authority. When all the truth comes out, as it always does, Jagger may be lucky to have a job as the FBI janitor!
