General Hospital Spoilers: Blaze Exiles Her Mother From Her Life And Career — And Sonny Becomes Natalia’s Biggest Ally
Blaze Exiles Her Mother From Her Life And Career — And Sonny Becomes Natalia’s Biggest Ally
General Hospital spoilers spill Alison ‘Blaze’ Ramirez (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) is reeling from the news that just hit the presses. Sure, Blaze has always had concerns that the truth about her private life might come out before she was ready to reveal it, but she didn’t expect that news to come out of her mother’s mouth.
Moreover, she certainly wasn’t expecting it to be laced with disgust and disapproval for the way she is choosing to live her life as a gay woman. Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) is pretty emotional these days, just six weeks out from her estimated due date.
She’s bound to have an opinion about Natalia’s harsh words, and she’s entitled to it. But will she only be stoking the flames of resentment between Blaze and her mother by sharing how she really feels? Unfortunately, Kristina is likely to have problems soon with her own parent, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
General Hospital Spoilers — Optics Are Everything
Mother knows best and Natalia has spent the better part of Blaze’s life reinforcing the message that what she looks like is more important than who she is.
Thus, any inkling of forgiveness or a desire to move forward with her mother that may rise up inside of Blaze will likely be snuffed out by her gut instinct that tells her she can’t just give her mom a pass.
How would that look to the LGBTQ+ community she is suddenly catapulted into representing? Likewise, how will that look for Kristina, who runs a youth center for the same community?
Like it or not, Blaze and Natalia will be on the outs for the foreseeable future — even when her daughter calms down and takes all of this in.
GH Spoilers – Claim This Wasn’t Exactly A Surprise
Blaze won’t be able to claim she’s surprised by any of this. In fact, can anyone? Everybody knew how Natalia felt about Blaze’s private life.
She was still unwilling to accept the fact that her daughter is gay, choosing to believe it’s some sort of trauma response to the abuse she endured at the hands of her previous music manager, Linc Brown (Dan Buran).
But not approving of Blaze’s lifestyle and going public with it in such a horrible way are two very different things.
While Blaze certainly won’t question that her mother had no intention of this making the press, she will still question why she would say such things to Ava Jerome (Maura West) — someone she barely knew.
General Hospital Spoilers — Sonny Corinthos Takes A Side, Painfully
Sonny is going to be smack dab in the middle of this war as it takes shape, and it’s the last place he ever wanted to be. He just got off the emotional rollercoaster that is his relationship with his daughter.
He has finally started to see a glimmer of hope that he’ll one day be back in Kristina’s good graces. So right now, he should be aligning with her. But he is attracted to Natalia and sympathizes with her plight.
He knows what it’s like to be Ava’s target, and he knows what it’s like to be exiled by his child. As he continues his budding relationship with Natalia, will it hamper the one he’s trying to rebuild with Kristina?
