GH’s Jacqueline Grace Lopez Addresses Her Exit

General Hospital Comings and Goings revealed that Lopez had spilled the beans on Instagram. She dropped the bombshell about letting go unexpectedly. We couldn’t believe it! Jacqueline began her senti goodbye post with, “Not gonna lie, this goodbye hurts.” It is because she didn’t see it coming.

She expressed, “When you spend almost two years with this crew, it really feels like you’re part of the family.” Moreover, the GH star expressed gratitude to soap Executive Producer Frank Valentini and the whole cast and crew. Lopez added, “ “Jobs come and go, but it’s the people you miss.” What does she think about her abrupt exit?

As much as it hurts, Lopez believes in channelizing good vibes and cherishing the good times. In addition, she shared how playing Blaze was more than just a role to her. Why? The GH actress addressed how tough it is to see a brown woman in the media. Much to her delight, the ABC soap didn’t disappoint her!

“Having Latiné elements introduced because of my character, and even getting a Latiné last name? That was huge!” Plus, Jacqueline was happy to have a real backstory, especially as a non-contract actor. She’s also amazed about making it into the opening titles. Interestingly, her original run was for ten episodes, but that was extended to almost two years. Whoa!

Finally, Lopez took a moment to acknowledge her fans, especially those who embraced Blaze’s journey as a gay woman. “Ultimately, my joy in this work is to help people feel seen.” Subsequently, she describes Balze’s chapter as a “gift.” “It feels so sudden, but I have to trust in timing. Heading out of Port Charles with nothing but gratitude.”
