Sonny’s Nervous Breakdown Brings Morgan Back From The Grave
General Hospital spoilers report Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) thinks he’s the most powerful mobster in town, but he shouldn’t underestimate Ava Jerome (Maura West). When backed into a corner, Ava has been known to do some pretty downright awful things — especially when it comes to her children.
With plans on the horizon to ruin Sonny as he tries to rip Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola) from her clutches, Ava may use the insider knowledge she has on Sonny’s botched medication to quite literally drive him to the brink of insanity. Will it work?
General Hospital Spoilers — Sidestepping The Truth
One of Sonny’s sore spots right now is that he let Ava back into his life and welcomed her into his home. Lambasting himself for that choice in front of Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Sonny quickly moved on from holding himself accountable to blaming Ava for whatever comes next.
It seems he intends to deal with her in a more unsavory manner that could blow back on him in a major way. Dante has likely already heard the rumors swirling around at the PCPD that Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) plans to take Sonny down when the time is right.
He’d rather not see his father serve himself up on a silver platter, but it seems that is what Sonny is intent on doing.
GH Spoilers – Spill Scott Baldwin Is A Genius
Ava couldn’t help but smile a bit when Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) mentioned that Sonny needed to have a very public nervous breakdown for her to be back on top again in terms of this impending custody battle between them — which is certain to look more like a war.
As soon as Scott made mention of a mental health issue, alarm bells were going off in Ava’s mind signaling that she was on the cusp of a victory, at least in her own mind.
Now, she sees a path forward. It is paved with embarrassment, shame, and instability for Sonny. The way Ava sees it, there’s no way she can lose by going too far in fighting for Avery.
General Hospital Spoilers — But This Is Definitely Going Too Far
We aren’t sure whether Ava will loop Scott in on what she knows about Sonny’s poxed pill situation. That would put him at risk of having knowledge of this criminal activity, and acting against a citizen in the court of law who he knows isn’t being properly treated.
But Ava can keep that morsel of dirt for herself while possibly trying to get to the bottom of who is pulling the strings to mess with Sonny’s meds. If all roads lead back to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), will they form an alliance to take Sonny down by tweaking his meds even more?
By now, the fan know that Bryan Craig is set to return to GH for only one day as Morgan Corinthos. Could that one-time appearance be a delusion Sonny experiences as his faulty meds induce him into a deeper level of instability?
