The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Tuesday, July 23, reveals that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will continue lashing out and changing her moods on a dime, so Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will have plenty of reasons to worry.

Y&R fans know Sharon hasn’t been acting like herself for a while now – partly because of all the Cassie Newman (Camryn Grimes) memories and partly because her meds are totally out of whack.

Sharon’s doctor has been trying to figure out the right dosage for her, but it clearly isn’t working yet since her emotions are all over the place.

Of course, Nick is starting to fear Sharon’s mental crisis may be worse than it seems.

It’s possible Sharon secretly stopped taking her meds altogether or maybe there’s some side effect happening here.

Whatever the case, Nick will want to help Sharon get things back on track, but he’ll struggle to do that.

Sharon will inevitably have another meltdown at some point, but Nick won’t be entirely sure how to handle it.

In Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) office, he’ll face Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pressure and consider taking an honest approach. Adam will be sick of all the guilt and anxiety, so he’ll almost blurt out a cheating confession.

However, Adam knows there’d probably be no coming back from a betrayal like that.

Once Adam comes to his senses, he’ll likely spill the same story he told Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and claim he was hateful to Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) in Maryland.

Adam obviously thinks it’ll be better if he lies about a major outburst and makes it seem like the big Baltimore secret was something other than hitting the sheets.

Sally may be skeptical and push for more details, but Adam might be saved by Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) summons since a meeting is coming up in his dad’s office.

That’s where Victor will offer updates on yet another shakeup, which could leave Adam in charge of Newman Media and put Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) in charge of a powerful company he’s trying to purchase.

Although Victor will play it up as amazing news where everybody wins, Nikki may not be as certain. Since Victor is likely targeting Abbott-Chancellor, Nikki may object to her husband’s goal soon enough.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will argue that he knows best, but our predictions point to Nikki offering up some backlash.
