Sharon Case Teases Story That’ll Go Down In History
Sharon Case has been a very integral part of The Young and The Restless as Sharon Newman for many decades now. She has played many shades of the characters in many pivotal storylines. However, in the recent past, Sharon had sort of fallen to the backseat and wasn’t really actively embroiled in any of the high-stakes storylines.
But that is soon going to be a thing of the past. In a recent chat with Soap Opera Digest, Sharon Case teased that she is about to bounce back with a storyline that’ll go down in history! Those who are tuning into Y&R on a regular basis already know that the juicy storyline has already begun. Our beloved heroine has fallen off her bipolar medication and is spiraling out of control.
It started soft with Sharon having nightmares about Cassie, but it has now snowballed into full-blown hallucinations! She is currently being haunted by Cameron Kirsten, her past tormentor. However, he is not actually back from the dead, but only a figment of her imagination.
Sharon quipped in her chat that she loves the story, everyone on the Y&R sets loves the story. She also added that she thinks, “it’ll go over really well.” However, The Young and The Restless star teased that this is only the beginning and there is a lot to come! She pointed that it is not a short storyline. This is one of our bigger ones and the writing is so great and entertaining.
Sharon Case gushed that she was very excited when she found out about Cameron’s return as she just loves working with Kinden Ashby. Furthermore, she added that she likes how Daniel Romalotti has also become pulled into this whole story, as Sharon is now trying to figure out how she feels about him and Cassie through her conversations with him.

Speaking about her character’s bipolar diagnosis and medication, Sharon pointed that Sharon Newman went off the meds hoping to get more clarity of mind, but has ended up falling off the rails. Furthermore, the seasoned actress revealed that she has a sound understanding of bipolar and what it can bring about in somebody, and what meds can or not do.
She asserted that she has “looked into it a lot”. Not just as part of her character, but she also studied it in depth while she was still in school. So now we understand why her portrayal of bipolar Sharon is so bang on! Speaking of portraying the character, Sharon Case is about to complete a 30-year run of playing Sharon Newman on September 7, 2024!
That’s truly a whole era! And we have loved every bit of it! Hence, we can’t express enough of how excited we are about this massive storyline that has rolled out for Sharon, right before the big 30!
