Monday, August 5 Update: Harrison’s Crisis, Kyle’s Call Ignored, Sharon Insults Phyllis
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, August 5, reveals that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will have a blast with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) at Crimson Lights, where Phyllis will hit the decline button on Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) call to his ex.
Phyllis will also encourage Harrison to hype up his relationship with Summer to anyone who’ll listen, even judges.
Harrison will ultimately have a mini crisis since he’ll realize he left his bunny charm back at the Abbott mansion.
Since Harrison can’t sleep without it, Summer will take him over to the house and let him retrieve it.
In the meantime, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have the mansion all decked out with flowers for his wedding anniversary to Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters), so they’ll dance and trade gifts.
Summer will offer an apology for showing up with Harrison unannounced, but Diane and Jack won’t mind.
Although Jack and Diane will privately urge Summer to reconsider her sole custody pursuit, she’ll feel like Kyle left her no choice.
At the athletic club, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will reluctantly agree to let Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) attend the concert with Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), but she won’t like all Lucy’s deception lately.
While Heather talks to Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) about that, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will struggle to concentrate during her conversation with Faith about the concert.
However, Sharon will eventually focus enough to offer some advice to Faith, who’ll worry about Lucy latching onto her even more after this pity bonding session.
Sharon will think Faith needs to be honest about the age difference bothering her and use tonight to sow some seeds about boundaries.
At the same time, Sharon will suggest Faith should have fun and know that she’s helping lonely Lucy through a rough patch.
Once Lucy and Faith take a rideshare, Sharon will look down at her pen and see that she’s distractedly marked up her hand with it.
At the coffeehouse, Lucy will burn her lip on her latte and leave Faith looking uneasy over all the awkwardness.
After Phyllis gets updates on Faith accepting Lucy’s concert invitation, she’ll think that’s great news.
Once Sharon appears, she’ll send the girls back to their rideshare that’s waiting and clash with Phyllis after they’re gone.
When Sharon hints about Lucy looking up to Faith a little too much, Phyllis will resent the implication that her granddaughter is a stalker.
After Faith and Lucy get dropped off at the fairgrounds, they’ll prepare to head to the concert.
Lucy will keep making a fool of herself, so she’ll slip some booze out of her purse to loosen up while Faith is in the restroom.
Our Y&R predictions hint that Lucy’s drinking could lead to much bigger issues, so things are bound to get messy as this storyline moves along.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Faith has unknowingly adopted a bit of a problem child, so stay tuned.
